There are various topics that we hear about through the news and mainstream media, with some of the most relevant revolving around war and conflict. But what about those who are against war in general?
When looking through Antiwar.com and The American Conservative as research for this topic, I did notice a lot of statements and people that are not large or familiar names, since they are often left out of the general conversation.
Additionally, I learned about some protests against war, with the first recorded movement taking place in the 19th Century with the War of 1812, in which the Federalist Party had opposed war with Great Britain in terms of politics and economics.
Due to poor timing regarding a proposal made by the Hartford Convention to amend the Constitution, which arrived right after news involving the war's conclusion, in addition to accusations of treason and backlash in general, the Federalist Party would collapse shortly after.
The most recent anti-war movements as of the creation of this post revolve around the Israel-Hamas war, in which many have demanded a sort of ceasefire between the two sides.
